Catholic University of Zimbabwe Welcomes Students to the New Semester
The Catholic University of Zimbabwe (CUZ) warmly welcomed students to the new academic semester during the University’s Orientation Programme held on 14 August 2026.
The orientation marked an important beginning for our new students as they were welcomed into the CUZ family and introduced to the University’s academic environment, values, expectations, and wider community. It was a time of connection, encouragement, and preparation as students began a new chapter in their academic journeys.
The programme was graced by the presence of the University’s valued stakeholders, whose continued partnership and support contribute significantly to the growth and development of the University and its students.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. B. Nyambo, delivered the welcome remarks, warmly receiving the new students and encouraging them to approach their studies with dedication, discipline, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. Students were reminded that university life is not only about acquiring academic knowledge, but also about developing character, discovering their potential, and preparing to make meaningful contributions to society.
As we begin the new semester, CUZ encourages all students and staff to embrace the semester with renewed energy and purpose. Every member of our community is encouraged to be committed, present, and intentional in their respective work and fields. Through hard work, collaboration, respect, and a spirit of service, we can continue building a University community where everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow, and excel.
To all our returning students and those joining us for the first time, welcome to the new semester and welcome to another opportunity to learn, grow, serve, and make a difference.
We wish all students and staff a productive, successful, and fulfilling semester. May God bless, guide, and strengthen each one of you throughout the academic year, and may your efforts bear abundant fruit.
