The Catholic University of Zimbabwe (CUZ) is proud to celebrate the achievements of its ENACTUS team following their participation in the 2026 ENACTUS National Competition, held on 3–4 September 2026 at the Golden Conifer in Harare.

The competition brought together 14 university teams, providing students from across Zimbabwe with an important platform to showcase innovative, entrepreneurial and community focused solutions. The participating teams were divided into two leagues, with seven universities competing in each league.

CUZ competed in League 2 and secured an impressive third place among the seven participating teams. While the team did not progress to the final round, their performance represents an important milestone in their journey and demonstrates the creativity, commitment and potential of CUZ students.

Turning Ideas into Impact

The 2026 ENACTUS National Competition provided the CUZ team with more than an opportunity to compete. It was a valuable learning experience that enabled students to engage with fellow innovators, build networks, exchange ideas and reflect on how student-led initiatives can contribute to addressing real challenges within communities.

One of the key lessons from the competition was the importance of understanding innovation beyond the creation of entirely new products. Innovation can also mean improving, adapting and enhancing existing products or solutions so that they respond more effectively to the needs of communities.

The team also recognised the importance of starting projects early. Beginning projects sooner provides students with more time to develop their ideas, implement them, measure their impact and make meaningful improvements along the way.

These lessons will serve as valuable foundations as CUZ ENACTUS continues to develop projects that combine entrepreneurship, innovation and social impact. 

Courtney Coffee to represent CUZ on the Global Stage

Adding to the University’s celebration is the exciting opportunity for Courtney Coffee to represent the Catholic University of Zimbabwe at the ENACTUS Global Research Network Research Global World Cup in Brazil.

Courtney will present the project “Growing Food, Growing Futures,” taking CUZ student innovation and research to an international platform.

Her participation is a significant opportunity to showcase the ideas, research and entrepreneurial spirit emerging from the Catholic University of Zimbabwe while engaging with innovators and students from beyond Zimbabwe.

Securing third place in a highly competitive league is an achievement worthy of recognition, while the lessons gained from the experience provide an important foundation for future success.
