Message to Our Students

Dear Students,

As we journey through another academic year, I wish to reaffirm my deep appreciation for your dedication, resilience, and spirit of inquiry that define the vibrant student community of the Catholic University of Zimbabwe (CUZ). Your presence on our campus brings life to our mission of academic excellence, moral leadership and faithful service.

My tenure as Vice Chancellor began with a clear vision: to transform CUZ into a leading Catholic university in Africa one where faith, knowledge, and innovation converge to shape socially responsible leaders of tomorrow. Guided by our Strategic Roadmap, we are laying a solid foundation for that transformation, with students like you at the very heart of it.

In the coming months, we will expand academic programs in vital areas such as Information technology, Engineering, Agriculture, and Science, in line with national skills development priorities. Modernized curricula will emphasize 21st-century skills including critical thinking, digital literacy and entrepreneurship ensuring your education prepares you for global opportunities.

We are also prioritizing infrastructure improvements. Plans are underway to build new student accommodation facilities, enhance our digital learning platforms, and establishing infrastructure in all dioceses across the country. These developments are designed to provide you with a safe, modern and enriching learning environment.

But more than anything, CUZ is a community. I encourage each of you to be actively engaged join student clubs, participate in service initiatives, compete in international challenges and contribute to building a campus culture rooted in Catholic values, inclusivity and compassion.

Let us finish this semester strong and step into the next with purpose and unity. With God’s guidance and our collective effort, CUZ will rise to new heights and you, our students, will be the light that leads the way.
